Ayas mineral spring has been known and used for more than two thousand years. The temperature, radioactivity and the mineral compositon of the water is the same as the famous ; world known Kardlspat mineral spring. There is no third example of this water composition. One can benefit from water both by drinking it and taking a bath.

Ayas is a well-known place which is distunguished from other places by its histaric arts; mineral water and cultural havings. After Malzgirt war in 1071 ; the Selcuklu army which is under the control of Suleyman Bey has conquered one of the 5 big bishopric Mnzios and re-named it as Ayas.
